Recommend giving it a watch and see what you think of it. 4 out of 5 stars 8 out of 10. Fun for the whole family moviegoers audiences and Christians. Holds up really well 23 years later. Has wonderful messages in it In every man's life there is a turning point while the movie itself may look cheap especially the photography itself looking like a home movie compare to the Kendrick Brothers other movies this was their first ever movie and before this they had no experience making movies so while on the surface it may not look the best everything else about it is able to outshine its problems showing that with God on your side all things are possible even in the film industry itself Has fun easter eggs references and callbacks to pop culture itself. It is such a feel good movie that you need to see it in your life because it applies to us all. You're laugh/ cry See more

Feb 24, 2021 Flywheel is an amazing debut film from brothers, Alex and Stephen Kendrick. The film has a great screenplay, and good prodcution quality given the films budget. Overall, Flywheel is an excellent effort from the Sherwood Baptist team that comprised the entire cast and crew, and is an absolutely incredible film for a production of only $20,000. You simply will not find a low-budget film of better worth! Anyone who sees this film will be blown away at how an amateur, in-house production casted, written, directed, produced, and edited by a church, could be so good. I highly recommend Flywheel, it has a great plot that will hold your attention until the very end. See more

May 5, 2020 This opener biblical chapter is a pure, definite independent film with a rare aesthetic that functions well as the premise humbles into an inspiring, miraculous direction – for a somewhat modern "It's a Wonderful Life" – which became a basis foundation for their films to come in emphasizing community storytelling albeit skeptical spirituality portrayal through decent neo-realistic performances. Mar 9, 2016 First off, I'd like to say that, for such an amateur production (not meant as an insult being as I'm an amateur myself), this is a smoothly directed film. They don't try to take on too much with their premise, and they never try to compensate for the lack of funds. It's a noble production that is intended 100% to inspire and uplift with the life-changing power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Also, I must say that Alex Kendrick gave the best performance I've seen from him. This is a charming, simple, uplifting, passionately made piece of faith-based filmmaking that doesn't ever pretend to be more than it is. "Fly Wheel" is a wonderful little indie. See more
