From the rainforests of Costa Rica to the eastern seaboard and all the way north to Alaska, Koeck takes us on a journey with birds of all shapes and sizes as they migrate by the millions each and every year. The cinematography is stunning, as is learning about the importance of protecting the ecosystems on which not only these birds, but also fish, sharks, whales, wolves, bears, and yes, even we humans, depend for our very survival. Watching this film, you are brought on a journey from the deep cloud forests of Central America all the way to the remote tundra of Manitoba. This movie takes you through the a massive migration of birds stopping at points along the way to learn from experts about what these birds experience in their migration and the challenges they face along the way. The shots in this movie are beautiful, the sound design is excellent, and the direction is brilliant. Tomas Koeck is a brilliant young filmmaker and has crafted a really compelling, thought provoking documentary. This documentary is a must-watch. See more Read all reviews
