If they can generate a functioning bio-mechanical clone, why not use it in space instead of Junior himself? Also, the level of cost and expensive for anyone to worry about leaving a spouse alone seems unbelievable too. There are threads of explanations - partial or otherwise - offered or implied, but none seem remotely satisfactory to me. Who know the clone was deployed? That was never clear in any way - yet, it is supposed to be a twist? And, how could Junior be completely emotionless watching the clone be disposed of in front of his eye? On top of that, the pacing is off, the run time too long given the plot, and the clarity of the narrative too amorphous. Bottom line: what a waste of the talents of Ronan and Mescal.
