There is enough meat here – touching on digital dating etiquette and the underlying emotional viscera – for a Hollywood remake. Time for Matt Damon to wriggle into that furry outfit.

Good Boy is an astute miniature that summons considerable power to disturb. I do wish its denouement hadn't been marred by some basic credibility issues, but the overall effect is nonetheless creepy as hell.

3.7/10 Norwegian, Creepy, Odd, Not great - couldn't finish Movie about rich handsome man who dates woman. He has a guy who pretends to be a dog and lives with the man. She is creeped out but still dates him No real climax, just makes you feel weird

I honestly don't understand how this movie got such good reviews. I can see how it would be disturbing to people only if they are not familiar with horror or gross fetishes on the internet. Maybe I'm just ruined but it was so slow and I just kept waiting for more to happen other than the whole "oooh he has a human in a dog suit, so weird but he's a millionaire so lets stupidly ignore red flags". Then you get to the part where he bends the dude over his knee and spanks him. I don't get how that's particularly terrifying its just sad. The entire movie they never once try to actually fight back, at least not in a remotely realistic way. We're supposed to believe this guy put all this fear into them without any real evidence to back it up. Honestly a true crime documentary is more thrilling than whatever this garbage is. It tries to rely on the disturbing mechanics of sleeping with a woman and converting her to a dog and raising his weird kid/puppy in a dog suit at the end. SO LAME

Listen. I went to film school. I've seen and appreciated all the legendary horror films. I've seen Alien. I've seen The Shining. I have also seen Hostel, Saw, and the 2016 Suspiria. Good Boy is the most frightening and disturbing film I've ever seen.

No one does f**ked up creepy horror like the Scandinavians. There are so many layers to this film. It really needs to be watched twice. Can't wait to see what this director does with a bigger budget. A+++
