Numa atuação admirável, Burmeister consegue a proeza de fazer com que o espectador antipatize e torça por sua personagem ao mesmo tempo, mas o filme acaba se revelando excessivamente formulaico.

Audience Reviews for Hating Alison Ashley

Far from perfect, and it falls short of the book as the characters here are a little older than they should be, but I enjoy it. The outfits do make me smile, though, they would actually be fashionable now wearing all that retro stuff! Also interesting to see Delta act, although she's adequate rather than amazing.

Despite the acting, it's a good film. Hating all the characters off course

More Accurately: Hating Erica Jerkin. Only Australian film I have seen this year. In some ways it is a clever social satire, with many humorous scenes. However the main character is at times annoying, weird, depressing. Hating Alison? Not really.

The book is far better, but it's been put together fairly well and some moments are actually very funny. It's a good story for pre-teens to learn to get out of their own heads and think about other people's problems on occasion.
