Apr 27, 2017He's Just Not That Into You boasts a playful premise and strives to be critical and satirical of the rom-com genre it attempts to distance itself from, however inevitably becomes what it wants to parody and succumbs to a jangling bag of stereotypes and far too many filler characters. Unfortunately this means that talented actors who clearly give good performances unfortunately fail to make much of an impression. Jun 14, 2013He's Just Not That Into You is a smart and funny romantic comedy that's based on a bestselling novel. The film follows several interconnecting stories of romance as the characters find themselves dealing with different aspects of relationships. The writing is especially good, particularly in how it weaves the stories together and develops the characters without any of them feeling short changed or under used. Additionally, the ensemble cast is outstanding, and features Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, and Ginnifer Goodwin. The directing is also very impressive, and uses a meta narrative that keeps the tone lighthearted. Charming and funny, He's Just Not That Into You is a heartfelt and entertaining look at the complexities of relationships.Dann M Super Reviewer

Jun 12, 2012I guess this is a good movie...if you don't like to be challenged and can guess the outcome of the film merely by looking at the movie poster. This story has been beat to death, and this movie had nothing to really add. It's as if director Ken Kwapis is pontificating. A great cast does not compensate for a weak script, no matter how hard you try to over direct. I'd steer clear of this one.
