This movie does a very good job of showing how one person's narcissism manifests so clearly. I think it is brilliant. Stunning in how blatantly this portrayal is. The characters are perfect counterpoints to each other. It is like a ballet. There is not one wasted word in this script. Annette Benning is up to the task. She shows how blatantly hungry a narcissistic person with high narcissistic traits is. How she wants to devour all the peace in the room. Her husband has been a slave to her personality for decades and she has finally tapped him out. He says he met a woman he started to know. When she touched his arm so gently he knew he loved and needed her. Annette Benning's character is a hungry wrecking ball who makes her husband feel less than human. but demands he take it and talk to her when she wants. This is pure genius.
