10/03/2007 No aesthetics put into importance in this piece. Despite the amateur editing and rendering, the documentary is a bold big voice for the Middle Eastern gay community and their families. This movie is in English and is accompanied by optional Arabic subtitles that are poignantly translated by Bassam Kassab. See more 09/23/2007 This is the first, well-publicized, and award-winning documentary about gay and lesbian Arabs and Persians. Men and women shared their stories openly, taking huge risks in some cases. They discussed the role of the family in their upgringing and how it affected their coming out. Some had positive coming out experiences and others didn't have it easy. The director and producer Dr. Peter Barbosa and Garrett Lenoir managed to cover each story very well, alternating tears and laughter in the audience. (In English, with Arabic sub-titles.)
