A very well done depiction of the events leading up to D-Day, headlined by one of the strongest performances of Tom Selleck's career. The film manages to convey the sense of stakes and tension throughout every scene, a testament to both the acting and the writing. There's no action scenes to be had, it's not that type of war movie, instead it conveys the complexities of the war through dialogue and the fascinating, yet precarious, dynamics of all the commanders involved. 4/5 Stars

more informative than dramatic i believe tom selleck plays eisenhower well and it's good to see him in a different kind of role... especially since his silly moustache is missing here and he doesn't look like a tard! also nice to know how much of a twat degaulle was as i don't like the frogs. what i didn't like about this film was it seems to be-little every other general or powerful figure around old dwight
