What's the point of a less extreme version of a film whose whole raison d'être was extremity?
Never justifies its existence.
Inside somehow manages to be remarkably devoid of suspense throughout its brief running time.
The original had some squirmy points to make about femininity and motherhood that this "Inside" lacks. But the movie works on a gut level ... as in, "Sharp blades are scary when they're pointed at a pregnant belly."

This remake's bloody excesses can't conceal the fact that the film trades the 2007 original's aura of frantic peril for mere chintzy tedium.
Rachel Nichols is feisty and lioness-like as our protective mother-to-be. Her performance elicits a great deal of empathy, you feel first her pain of grief and later her fear of death.
...just another lackluster horror remake...
Folks coming in fresh [not having seen the original], and casual horror fans, will more than likely enjoy it.
... full of unintentionally funny scenes... [Full review in Spanish]
The long-delayed Inside remake is finally ready to see the light of day. What this review presupposes is...maybe that's not such a good thing?
That a new take on "Inside" is unnecessary is a given, but director Miguel Angel Vivas fumbles whatever debatable tension was there the first time around.
