Overall, Insidious Out Of The Further is at its strongest when it trusts its atmosphere and lets the horror creep up on you. The sound design and the idea of something crossing back into the real world give the film enough personality to keep it engaging.

It’s all horrific enough ... and the imagery is both expectedly weird and often suitably gross. Yet ... this one still somehow felt like nothing new. The jump scares were effective but ordinary and the proceedings seemed more-or-less generic to me.

This movie was just okay, didn’t really like the dental visit with the old man. Like Not at all. But the scares with the music & shifts were there. All else, it was again, simply okay.
