Movie Info
Divers Sam (Jessica Alba) and Jared (Paul Walker) love life in the Bahamas. But when friends Bryce (Scott Caan) and Amanda (Ashley Scott) visit, the couple take them on a treasure-hunting trip, where they discover more than they bargained for: a downed airplane full of cocaine alongside a famous shipwreck. Unknown to Sam and Jared, Bryce makes a fatal mistake and decides to sell the cocaine -- which angers a group of drug dealers, who are now in hot pursuit of the divers.

While it's a little generic, Into the Blue is an entertaining and sexy crime thriller. The story follows an aspiring treasure hunter and his friends who discover a possible shipwreck near a crashed plane full of drugs on the sea bed, and must work secretly to uncover the ship's location before others get to it first or the drug cartel comes looking for their lost plane. Starring Paul Walker, Jessica Alba, Ashley Scott, and Scott Caan, the film has a good cast. But the characters are poorly written and the plot is really convoluted. Still, there are some nice action sequences and the underwater scenes are beautifully shot. It's gratuitous and silly, but Into the Blue is also kind of fun.

"Into The Blue" is wonderfully shot, with beautiful scenery of the water and diving, and it's barely dressed actors. The film drifts around for it's first hour or so without too much going on. Then the film really picks up at the end leading to a very exciting, and surprisingly violent final half hour .

A cool movie with the lives of cool people involved! It doesn't seem that great, but I enjoyed it, even though I know I shouldn't!
