Jeepers Creepers has a promising start. Unfortunately, the tension and suspense quickly deflates into genre cliches as movie goes on. Read critic reviews

If the reptile brain in you, that ugly little cluster of cerebral cells where all the destructive urges lie, needs a good jolt, Jeepers Creepers offers you just such a treat.

An unsettling, gory, but intelligent horror flick.

What it lacks in studio-level finesse it more than makes up for with unrelenting imagination and a creepily visceral punch.

The plotting is a tad generic, and the film feels long at a scant 90 minutes. But the movie is good enough to put a chill into the late-summer air.

May 22, 2015Not only is Jeepers Creepers a well made horror film, it also features an extremely strong and unforgettable presence in its menacing demon antagonist - probably one of the most frightening spectres I have actually seen in the horror genre, its also notable for spawning an equally as enjoyable sequel which is even rarer to find in contemporary horror. Foetal Justin Long is great as a student who along with his sister attracts the attention of a mysterious serial killer on a long and "haunted" stretch of country highway. Whilst it has its fair share of typical horror tropes, the film is wildly more intelligent that it would wish to admit and the performances are committed, three-dimensional and easy to root for from the other side of the screen. Many have said that the ending seems "rushed", but in my opinion it's harshness isn't crude but realistically blunt and realistic... at least as realistic anything can be in a film called Jeepers Creepers.Harry W Super Reviewer
