The ill-fitted nature of the film's limp comical jibes, and this odd finale, suggest Kapoor (and his producers) may have deliberately toned down the strong material for fear of retribution.
The film may be titled Jolly LLB, but belongs wholly to Justice Sundarlal Tripathi, rivetingly played by Saurabh Shukla.
Jolly LLB's screenplay maybe predictable, end of the day it's inspired by the real-life case of Sanjeev Nanda. But what the story lacks in terms of surprise, the cast makes up with its performances
Jolly LLB is a feel-good satire in the best sense of the term.
A very, very disappointing courtroom drama. Let alone the performances, the script itself is ridiculously stale, with no novelty in execution. 0.5/5 because I'm in a generous mood.
