A film about realistic friendship. It is just one time watch movie.
One of my favorite films of all time. Good representation of India for people who are familiar with or curious about Indian culture. People who don't value or wish to understand Indian cultural themes in cinema should avoid this film, otherwise anyone with an open mind will enjoy this film. It is important to remember this film is Tragic-Style Bollywood .
It is hard to chronicle the life and times of India without inviting the ire of some community or the other. Kai Po Che walks the tightrope, providing an honest and objective glimpse into the tumultuous "growing up" of India juxtaposed against the coming of age of the protagonists. Lovingly shot in Ahmedabad, brilliant performances, and a subtle plot add up to a great entertainer. The politics stays omnipresent but in the background, reminding those who'd like to listen that the idea of India is great BECAUSE of it's diversity. Something that is at risk, now that last of generation who fought for that idea and for our freedom is being replaced by young India that only saw the good times
Has good production values as well as being a decent tale of sporting achievement, albeit one that focusses on those developing the talent than the talent themselves. There's some sub-plots that often feel like they are there to help fill the feature time.
The main theme of the movie being Friendship it also dealt with Politics and Cricket. The Director, Abhishek Kapoor, and the writers connected these three diverse themes flawlessly. Sushant Rajput, Rajkumar Yadav and Amit Sadh gave amazing performances and the chemistry between their characters is the reason this movie feels so great.
a good-enough movie to be worth of watching. perfect actings, directing and soundtracks all together. the only thing that aucks is that it sometimes exaggerates and has its Indian theme; Problems got solved always.
Anger is the worst enemy of humans as it makes them blind. This movie teaches you a good lesson.
Beautifully filmed -- a great story of friendship, hardship, and passion!
"Kai Po Che!" is a movie made with a truly memorable and effective dramatic intensity. It is a movie that shows a story of friendship in unique backdrops that flow nicely into a good story. I liked how the characters in the movie are shown as flawed. This aspect made the movie feel realistic. Particularly in the first half, the movie is pretty repetitive, and it can start to get old after a little while. However, the movie gains a lot of momentum once the second half kicks in and I was riveted by it. Overall, it's a first-rate drama with an emotional center that is worth watching.
I haven't seen many Bollywood movies, but I would recommend this one.
The story weaves together several connected threads. It would have been easy for the film to get lost in the attempt, but it didn't. It is a fine movie with a heart (if not a Hollywood-style happy ending).
