A slickly made but blandish adaptation of Elmore Leonard's novel The Switch. As usual Leonard's bad guys are more interesting than the straights. The trick here is figuring out who the bad guys are.

[O]ne of the most, if not the most, faithful to the source material of all the [Elmore] Leonard adaptations...true to the stylized dialogue and wit of the novel itself. Life of Crime is as witty and wonderful on the big screen as on the page.

For all that was going on in Leonard's original story, Life of Crime lands really flat. Anniston is sitting pretty in her holding room, and the action around her plods along.

not sure why viewers don't like this. It was hilarious, quirky, and Aniston was great in it. Offbeat kidnap thriller with surprising wit laced all through it. Very entertaining and smartly written.

Loved it. A smart little comedy with witty dialogue and great acting. No gratuitous violence and a lot of suspense made this a must watch movie for me. Not sure why it has such a low rating.
