Little Brother

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Little Brother squanders the strong comic chemistry between John Cena and Eric André on a tonally unfocused script that settles for broad, low-hanging gags and recycled buddy comedy beats.

The film never quite figures out what kind of comedy it wants to be. Go to Full Review

That Cena and André are so good together is all the more striking in a movie that affords them such infrequent overlap. Go to Full Review

If Little Brother feels familiar while you’re watching it, it’s because this is a film so pre-digested that it’s as if a bird ate Twins, What About Bob? and Planes, Trains and Automobiles and then spit the contents into your mouth. Go to Full Review

The pile-up of low-rent slapstick and cringing crass humour frustrates, though the satirical swipes at soulless TV producers are fun. Go to Full Review

...potentially hilarious subject matter that is, for the most part, employed to lackluster and forgettable effect... Go to Full Review

Yes, it is silly, dumb and gross but a) we need to laugh now, and this will make you laugh and b) by the end of the movie, both Cena and André have never been more likable on screen. This odd couple really works. Go to Full Review

James I @James66 4h just fantastic. eric andre is messed up hilarious as always and did not know what to expect from john cena but he is a killer actor! See more Renaldo D @RT30888824 1d The movie is funny, but like any film of this type, it doesn't have a good script. See more Carter H @quality_finds 3d Is it a high quality movie? No. This movie isn’t a movie of quality, it’s a movie that teaches a lesson I was thinking of rating this movie less than 3 stars until I went to bed and thought about it and as my next day went on, I thought about it This movie addresses insecurity, comparison, overthinking, and more important mental health problems That’s the art of this movie, the lesson it leaves you with For some, it may be a ego check, and for others it may make them realize they’re the good in someones life, for me it impacted my view on insecurities, self-esteem, and overthinking Which is very important for someone figuring themselves out Whatever this movie means to you, is what gives this movie its meaning I bravely place this movie into the 4 stars section, for amazing actor John Cena and comedian Eric Andre at making a film that doesn’t only entertain, but teaches Sometimes the art of movies isn’t quality itself, but the feeling and lesson you are left with 4 stars See more Marc D @RT61821777 3d Honestly I love so many parts of this movie. 1 of the many things that I loved Is that the whole time during this movie I was second guessing myself to where the plot was going to go. The kind of character John Cena plays usually in other comedies is the type of character to be understandable And he surely is towards the end But I'm really happy that they chose to write him as a horrible unlikable person in the beginning. My main grape about this movie is it feels like it could have done more with the plot and with the characters It's a long long movie but it feels so short in the way it handles its character's relationships. When Marcus leaves during the Fight with rud It really got me struggling To believe Rudd's kids Were sad when Marcus left. In the end I recommend this movie to anybody who wants to have a good time See more Craxylife A @RT07157092 5d I know, I know. It's not full of substance, but not going to lie, I had a few cracking up moments. Just a silly movie with a decent message. See more Brian G @PixFlix 6d Not good, feels like a weird rehashing of Cena's last buddy comedy movie. See more Read all reviews
