04/02/2015 interesting mix of Bollywood pic plus hammer style horror See more 12/19/2011 The first horror film from Pakistan. It was rated X and eventually became banned because it caused women to have heart attacks in the cinema. Considering the time and place, it's actually quite racy. Famously, it also includes the baby-stealing scene from the Dracula novel that Hollywood, Hammer and Germany all avoided. One of the strangest things about it is seeing Dracula in a car chase. Cinematically, they were influenced by the UK but they went for a Bollywood approach at times with all the dancing. In the end, it's a bad film but for its time and in context, it's quite remarkable what they got away with. See more 06/05/2010 Wow Bob wow! What a funny moving picture. A Dracula adaption from Pakistan made in the 60s with a rather low violence factor (not bad), several dance intermezzos, weird music (e.g. "La Cucaracha" in a very obscure version) and the most important: many vampire movie stereotypes. The acting is not the worst/best ever and the atmosphere is somehow ironic (at least for me). Conclusion: a silly movie with lots of (exotic) charme and a great trash factor which often is a bonus point. See more Read all reviews
