Puff piece bio of Marilyn Miller smooths out all her rough edges, including the removal of her infamous prickly personality and imperious attitude, but includes a lot of beautiful music. Lush production values, an amusing performance by Ray Bolger and Gordon MacRae's glorious voice all make this worth catching but it's worthless as a realistic representation of Miller's life.
