At first glance, Marie-Jo (Ariane Ascaride) is an ordinary woman: a middle-aged wife and mother who dutifully helps her husband, Daniel (Jean-Pierre Darroussin), run his construction company. But Marie-Jo harbors a sultry secret: She's been romantically involved with a pilot named Marco (Gerard Meylan) for more than a year. Though she insists she loves her husband as much as her lover, Marie-Jo is perplexed by her passions. She runs off with Marco but soon finds one love is not the solution.

Ian R 09/02/2024 Very good acting , (especially of the lead actor Ariane Ascaride) but the theme is an all known common one - caught up in a choice dilemma between the love of her husband and a friend. It does make you reflect whether the human condition is ultimately condemned to a monogamous relationship. See more 07/23/2011 This is a melodramatic film about a middle-aged married woman who falls in love with another man. The twist is that she is also still in love with her husband. Eventually she leaves her husband to be with her lover. See more 04/07/2009 Yet another interesting French film. Acting was very good, loved especially Ariane Ascaride, she was perfect Marie-Jo. Loved also Marseilles. And the ending was brilliant. See more 09/17/2008 A good idea to interrogate - having two lovers or being in love with two people. But this is dull. The only noteworthy feature is the portrait of an "older woman's" active sexuality. You go girl. See more 06/11/2008 6 out of 10 isn't a bad review. I really liked the ambience of this film, and considering that it is moviing at a relatively slow pace it is well enough made to keep you interested, and enjoying the vibe. Unfortunately it just goes on a wee bit too long, I felt, and the ending was a bit over the top. Do I really have to apologise for having a different opinion to you? Good performances all round, well made, and pleasing to the eye. Just that bit too long really. And the end, like I said. Thanks. See more 05/12/2008 Beautiful, yet sad, movie.
