Matter of Time is a compelling documentary chronicling the fight to cure Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a rare and devastating genetic disease. Fueled by the raw energy of Eddie Vedder's 2023 solo performances in Seattle and driven by the fierce determination of patients, families, and scientists, Matter of Time captures a rising global effort to cure EB and pave the way for thousands of other rare diseases. Produced by Door Knocker Media in association with the Vitalogy Foundation, this is more than a concert film. It's a story of defiance, innovation, and the belief that even the most impossible challenges are only a matter of time. At the forefront of this fight is EB Research Partnership (EBRP)--a trailblazing force proving that rare disease isn't just treatable, it's curable. The mission is bold, their impact is real, and this film is their rallying cry to the world. With an original score by Broken Social Scene and candid interviews from all sides of the movement, the film is a rallying cry for what's possible when people come together--with urgency and heart--for something bigger than themselves.

Not all the patients in the film survive. Though there is a sense of quiet urgency to the documentary, a Greek proverb, about old men planting trees whose shade they know they shall never sit in, comes to mind. Go to Full Review

For what it is, Matter of Time does a good job selling its need with clear explanations and heart-wrenching patient spotlights. Go to Full Review

David O Nov 14 Emotional. Inspirational. Heartbreaking. What a mix of emotions watching this movie. I love PJ, and Eddie deliver a powerful performance, not only as a musician, but as a human being. Jill and Eddie are an inspiring couple, but the parents, the doctors, and the kids in this movie show what true resilience looks like. We need more movies like this that show the good side of people working together. I took my best friend to this in WI and we didn’t quite know what to expect, but then the lights came on and we realized that the CEO of EBR, some of the parents and kids that were featured in this movie were in the audience with us. What an experience! See more Justin S Nov 14 Amazing, eye opening, touching. Makes you cry, laugh, smile, and most of all gives you hope that a cure is within reach to help these individuals that are suffering so much and deserve so much better. Come say hi. However, it wasn't until I sat down this film that I truly grasped the impact of these disorders. This documentary combines footage from Vedder's fundraising concerts in Seattle with intimate interviews from patients and parents. It serves as an unfiltered look at the trauma and resilience of those living with EB. It is difficult to fight back tears born from a sense of helplessness. But that is exactly why this film is so important. We don't have to feel helpless. While most of us don't have a platform as large as the Vedders', we all have the ability to do something to spark change. Ultimately, Matter of Time proves that one small step toward making a difference in the life of someone with a chronic illness can lead to compelling results. We are the ones who must initiate the move toward change. See more Curtis L @Clindsey 4d It's such an eye opening documentary. I'd never heard of EB until Eddie brought it to light. These kids need help, I'm glad it's finally getting the attention it deserves. Be prepared to shed a tear or two. I recommend it to everyone. I donated to the EB Research Partnership today because of doc. See more Philip R. @PhilR 5d Eddie is the man and these kids are so strong. Incredible. See more Read all reviews
