On the unforgiving Australian frontier, American businessman Ben Creed (Jeff Fahey) is intent on building a life with Alice May Richards (Tushka Bergen), the gorgeous daughter of a local rancher. Although Ben is hopelessly in love with the girl, he faces some stiff competition from local cowboy Jack Donaghue (Steven Vidler).
