Inspired by a Korean film named THE CHASER, MURDER 2 stars Emraan Hashmi as ex-cop Arjun Bhagwat who gets his daily bread by working for gangsters and pimps. Model Priya (Jacqueline Fernandez replaces Mallika Sherawat from the 2004 Murder) is in love with Arjun but he only considers her to be his sex friend. (Yea there is a raunchy love making scene between Priya and Arjun before the director gets to the point with the main plot of the film.) A Goan pimp entrusts him the task of finding the whereabouts of several of his hookers who have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. He finds out that all the missing girls were called by the same person. When a new girl Reshma (Sulagna) is sent as bait to catch hold of the culprit, she falls prey of the serial killer. Arjun catches hold of the killer but has to get enough evidence against him. The movie lacks suspense because the identity of the killer is revealed before intermission but instead the film tries to play more with the abnormal characterization of the psychopath-cum-sadistic killer who enjoys every 'bit' of his butchering business reason being he is a womanizer who castrated himself and now seeks revenge on all females for his self-induced impotency.

One of the finest Bollywood thrillers I've seen recently. Its not everyday you see a serial killer film in Bollywood. Lifted, maybe, but still its pretty well done. Great dialogues too. The erotic angle that the promos offer are just a cover, it basically has no place in the core story. Emraan is very good, Jacqueline looks damn hot and Prashant Narayanan, who plays the psycho killer is splendid.
