Attractive young American Genie (Zoe Trilling) travels abroad to see her archaeologist dad. On the streets of Alexandria, Egypt, she meets Sabina (Alona Kimhi), a sultry prostitute who introduces the virginal Zoe to the seedier side of the city. Taking part in the hedonistic joys presented to her, Zoe has no idea she's being led into the hands of cult leader Paul Chevalier (Robert Englund), a descendant of the Marquis de Sade who's continuing the family tradition of depravity and torture.

See more Apr 20, 2013 This is the point where Tobe Hooper landed in true dud territory but it isn't beyond terrible. At least this dud has the fetching but bad acting Zoe Trilling and the reliable Robert England. See more Sep 5, 2011 Just a waste of time. See more Dec 6, 2010 Complete mess of Gnosticism, lesbian snake cults and vague Sadean philosophy with a decent turn by Englund as the Marquis - but not much from Finley. Hooper seems to be freely mixing Russell, Gradiva and Franco's Eugenie de Sade with liberal jabs at Christianity. Lots of recklessly staged dream sequences, obvious symbolism, lame mise en abyme, and rough plotting. Pretty hard going, probably best reserved for completists.
