Movie Info

Living with their family in post-World War II Algeria, three aristocratic sisters of French background slowly come into their own. Though the youngest sibling, Gritte (Marianne Basler), remains determined to stay single and becomes a nurse, her sisters each get married. Zon (Nicole Garcia) weds a sailor (Philippe Galland), but his frequent absences strain their relationship, while Malene (Brigitte Roüan) toils away on a farm with little help from her husband (Yann Dedet).
