A beautifully filmed look at a self destructive man. The film feels simultaneously deeply intimate and distant - a feeling shared by those who love the central figure.

So many gay men hide behind pretending to like sex with women. In the South, especially, men, knowing they are gay, marry women to divert suspicion. This film shows the harm that does to both the man and the woman. Moreover, because the man is not able to commit fully to either a male partner or a female one, he ends up losing both -- and rides off on a bicycle into the night.

Surprisingly sexy. Franz Rogowski plays the ultimate selfish POS here lol. Poor Ben Wishaw though! I think he got put through the wringer the most in this. Not that Adèle doesn’t either though! Jesus Franz!
