Jun 13, 2021 This concept movie does so much in terms of plot, character development and themes. The story of an AI trying to understand their role in life is incredibly fascinating its not even the major focus of the movie. This movie is definitely one of the most unique DCOMs to be presented. See more Jun 28, 2020 This is one of the movies about really stupid smart people that are capable of doing wonderous things, but usually squander the opportunity. While the premise of a teen creating a holographic teen girl is done fairly tastefully, it actually holds a lot of subtle messaging about the music industry and the tech industry. The writing is actually fully solid for the movie. Something in the execution is a little off though. The cg is either limited or really goofy, so it's clear there wasn't a big budget. Most of the acting is decent, but the human but inhuman quality of Loretta comes off really forced. I don't even think it's the actor's fault, it's just that the writer and director had different views. My biggest problem is that the movie tries to convince us that the hologram is the more desirable love interest when it's clear there is a good connection to a human girl for the lead. I enjoyed it, but I don't think I'd ever watch it again and can't recommend it whole heartedly. Good enough if you bother though.
