Living in New York City, Sarah (Jennifer Aniston) must make the cross-country trip back to her home state of California for the wedding of her younger sister (Mena Suvari). Once with her family, Sarah learns some interesting things from her grandmother (Shirley MacLaine), including the family's inspirational ties to the famous film "The Graduate." But all this leads to millionaire Beau Burroughs (Kevin Costner), and Sarah wants answers -- especially since Burroughs might be her real father.

I don't understand why this only has a 21% user rating. I liked the film when I first saw it 25 years ago, and I loved it when I watched it again tonight. It was an interesting plot idea, it was funny, some great lines, everyone was on point, especially Jennifer Aniston and Shirley Maclaine, the direction by Rob Reiner was terrific. It's a really good film.

For a movie with this wild of a twist - a three-generation affair linked to a classic film - it shouldn't be as utterly forgettable as it is, ultimately collapsing into a messy and unconvincing love triangle that wastes a talented cast.
