Dr. Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh) becomes a pawn in the Jigsaw Killer's (Tobin Bell) latest gory game. Kidnapped and taken to an abandoned warehouse, she finds Jigsaw bedridden and dying. Her task is to keep the maniac alive long enough for Jeff (Angus Macfadyen), a fellow victim, to complete his own task. Each is unaware that Jigsaw has much bigger -- and deadlier -- plans in store.

The third movie doesn't go over the edge, but it does start to feel like John is setting his subjects up to fail, and the game shouldn't be rigged quite so hard if he really wants people to walk the path of redemption.

How can Jigsaw possibly think he or his undertaking has achieved anything with such a low success rate? He would do better by looking at the numbers, realizing he's doing more harm than good, and trying a new approach. I wish these films would do the same

I don't have a problem with uncomfortable violence if it comes in a film that's at least remotely entertaining, which this movie is not. This installment is lazy, coasting on everything that made the first two films so popular.

one of the most emotional saw movies i CRIED amandas character is so perfectly portrayed and you can see her emotional progression and how her world view and everything she knows abt john is slowly falling apart. her emotional outbursts are so realistic and well done and the self harm scene is well written and well done because a lot of people get self harm wrongly portrayed. also loved shawnee smith and amanda young sexy butt. also also loved the doomed yuri between lynn and amanda, super accurate actual lesbians

I am really late to the Saw franchise so this was a first time watch and this was definitely better than I expected. I liked how it continues the story from the second one. The traps are crazy and they lead to great tension through out the movie. If you love gore then this is definitely made for you. At times the acting can be bad but these movies are not made to win awards. The ending had me saying WTF out loud cause I was not expecting that. As I stated I am new to the franchise so I am really curious how they continue the franchise. It wins a few points for some of its psychological elements and the acting is also solid, but all in all Saw III has a lot of sloppy filmmaking and it is pretty much just a gory rehash of its two predecessors. The ending has things that work well, but also things that was a bit messy.
