Scary Movie 4 is every bit as hilarious and irreverent as fans of the horror-spoofing franchise have come to expect and Anna Faris & Regina Hall still remain charming enough in the roles of Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks respectively. Sadly, the film recycles material from its predecessors, the PG-13 rating handicaps the movie rather than offer a way to get the film to appeal to a wider generation without teens unsuccessfully attempting to get to see the movie in cinemas like the thrid film did and the movie itself has some flaws. The poster shows a cigarette-chomping King Kong, there aren't even any gorillas in the actual movie, the film sometimes seems to be more interested in parodying pop culture rather than actual horror movies, War of the Worlds isn't even a legitimate horror movie -you couldn't have gone and spoofed Alien or something? - and the daughter of the character Tom Ryan and Rachel seems like just a rehashing of Cody from the third film. Has its fair share of laughs but simply a disappointing (or in the least below average) conclusion to the original quadrology.
