Ever since the departure of the Wayans, the installments seem to just get less and less amusing.

Have you ever seen a new spoof film where you feel like it's trying to say to you, "It's hilarious you fool! Really! Please, laugh at me!" Well, that's what you'll get right here. $â,¬%< you, &^% you, $@*^ you, and, oh! did I meant to say â,¬%+* you?! Your allot better off watching Robin Hood: Men in Tights than this!

A decent movie, but it lacks the fun of the first 3 films of the franchise.

That was so funny :D

While it has its scary moments and laughs this movie is still focusing on the comedy instead of the story.

At four films and counting, the Scary Movie franchise is still finding ways to take frightening cinematic material and transform it into laugh-out-loud comedy gold, and thanks to the combined talents of Anna Faris and Regina Hall, the inspired satire and juvenile gags continue to scare and amuse.

Deeply flawed and lazy however it ultimately provides a few decent laughs.

Scary Movie 4 is every bit as hilarious and irreverent as fans of the horror-spoofing franchise have come to expect and Anna Faris & Regina Hall still remain charming enough in the roles of Cindy Campbell and Brenda Meeks respectively. Sadly, the film recycles material from its predecessors, the PG-13 rating handicaps the movie rather than offer a way to get the film to appeal to a wider generation without teens unsuccessfully attempting to get to see the movie in cinemas like the thrid film did and the movie itself has some flaws. The poster shows a cigarette-chomping King Kong, there aren't even any gorillas in the actual movie, the film sometimes seems to be more interested in parodying pop culture rather than actual horror movies, War of the Worlds isn't even a legitimate horror movie -you couldn't have gone and spoofed Alien or something? - and the daughter of the character Tom Ryan and Rachel seems like just a rehashing of Cody from the third film. Has its fair share of laughs but simply a disappointing (or in the least below average) conclusion to the original quadrology.

Not funny and very dumb humor

"Scary Movie 4" is a worthy continuation of the franchise. It doesn't reach the comedic heights of the previous instalment but remains very funny. A lot of trademark jokes are herein repeated with success while there's a lot of newer ones, suggesting that the makers have all but run out of steam.

Alright but the gags ran thin and they just did the same things over and over again and it got boring very quickly.
July 20, 2016
Now it's time to lay the series to rest.

The only "Scary Movie" film that was watchable. It's not bad nor good, but it does have some funny scenes and the acting was decent.
May 22, 2016
Gives many laughs with its absurd situations.
April 18, 2016
Feels like most of the gags flattens the plot throughout most of the running time and could use a little more focus on plot.

Warning this movie is not funny. It is just crap do not watch it. Scary movie 2 is better and that one stinks. Scary movie 3 is better.and that one stinks.
