Sciberras’ direction keeps you in the picture, enabling you to keep track of the damage and effecting a rise in your pulse rate. Not even the talents of Radha Mitchell and Chris Roth can save this threadbare snooze fest. Laughter abounds at all the inappropriate moments. Would give a half star if possible. Tim Roth can be a truly menacing bad guy but here he just looks miffed to be called out of his trailer. It is the lack of attention to detail that makes this woeful. The choice to replace the actual destruction of a nearly 20-year-old Jeep Commander with really crap CGI is odd. Then to have a supposed Armed Forces specialist pour petrol all over it to destroy it further only to have appear relative pristine later highlights the effort that everyone put into this. I never believed any of the characters were elite snipers or had any concept of combat, establishing defensive perimeters, etc. All the characters were poorly established and I was not really fussed about what happened to any of them.
