A mysterious murder catches the attention of U.S. Marshal Eddie Dean (Eddie Dean), who, with sidekick Soapy Jones (Roscoe Ates), enters the town where the crime was committed and begins investigating. Meanwhile, he meets young Mary Ann Jarvis (Jennifer Holt), who has inherited a ranch, and sleazy lawyer Ben Gunnison (George Chesebro), who wants the rights to the land because he's started up a secret gold mine on it. Eddie then sets out to thwart Gunnison while trying to solve the murder case.
