Critic Reviews for Sidekicks
The movie is just a Karate Kid knockoff too late to the party and used as a vehicle to give Norris something similar.
Unfortunately, Norris also turns up in the flesh at the climax of this increasingly tiresome revision of Karate Kid. Never the most theatrical of martial arts stars, he acts too tentatively when required to show himself as a shy, low-key, caring human.
A silly bit of Chuck Norris propaganda likely to be used in recruitment centers across the world when Norris finally conquers mankind.
Audience Reviews for Sidekicks
Fuck the movie! This is a tribute for Chuck and it knows it. And just because of that, 4 stars. I only wish for the day that they make a movie using all the Facts about Chuck that made him the Internet God he is. I mean, he was his own father.
Don't remember much about this one other than it has Chuck Norris in it and I didn't like it much.
Chuck Norris is essentially a guest star in this film where he plays himself both in real-life and the high adventure daydreams of Jonathan Brandis. A sort of martial arts story with some great choreography and a very funny script working with a great cast.
