Anchored, and essentially redeemed, by a fearless performance from Melinda Page Hamilton, Sleeping Dogs Lie has little else to recommend it from a creative level. Go to Full Review

Jun 25, 2009 A VERY short film, but with some interesting characters. Keenan was great as Deputy Lance, but Wilk's and the rest were let down by lack of acting experience. A good story, and plot but a little too short. See more Jan 24, 2009 This didn't live up to my expectations sadly, but my only reason was to see what MJK was like. He did the silly cop really well, I think he'd be good in a comedy of anything. The plot was ok, but I think even though it was a short film (low budget) there could have been little bit more. See more Nov 9, 2008 Like most, I saw this out of curiosity since it starred Maynard James Keenan and Brad Wilk. a couple of well known musicians. This short tries to be an interesting thriller but falls short. More of a could-have-been than anything, its like a demo tape for a serious movie that never made it to re-recording. All the acting is fine, Maynard is great as a dorky cop but thats the only redeeming factor. Only recommended if you're a fan of the musicians. See more Aug 2, 2008 interesting short film See more May 30, 2008 I only saw this movie for one reason. Maynard. Obviously. And he made it worth watching. Deputy Lance is a man of action. The rest of the movie was just so-so. The plot was pretty good and unique. The movie was shot very well, too. The problem lies in the editing, a good bit of the acting and the dialogue. I did like how the song played during the credits was an APC song, though. See more Read all reviews
