07/03/2023 These Ladies are really funny. I really enjoyed watching them in the studio C sketches and the Loving Life videos. I was really excited to see them in their first movie. For me personally it’s a miss fire. The premise is great and the first act is well done. But once the characters go on their road trip, there’s nothing really standing in their way or really preventing them from reaching their goal. By the end of the film, they had a real moment where you feel genuine emotion for the characters. Only for that moment to go out the window a few minutes later. What a shame. I can imagine when it came out, it was too close to COVID's beginnings, but now, it's hilarious remembering some of the things we use to do before we knew how it was transmitted. The actresses were so hilarious I had to look up if they were actually sisters in real life (nope, but best friends). See more dave d @RT34924333 01/26/2022 Whitney Call and Mallory Everton wrote a movie for themselves to star in with Everton co-directing with supporting player Stephen Meek. The film is a road trip movie using Covid as the reason for the excursion. The filmmakers attempt to toe a fine line between comedy and morbidity with mixed results. There are moments that pop and the two leads have chemistry, but the supporting players are more caricatures than authentic. There are also moments in the car that are supposed to be boring and that doesn't work when the film is STRETCHED to 80 minutes. This is ANOTHER in the long line of short film extended to feature length. Nothing wrong with a tight 35 minute movie! It's missable and total fluff with nothing of substance to offer. I didn't laugh once, but do appreciate the film was in focus. It may be a bit too soon to do satire on COVID, especially if it is not high quality.
