Tene F @RT00651924 Mar 18 The nay sayers are idiots. This movie is genius and before it’s time. Think Epstein meets 1940’s asylum. The fantasies are her escaping as she’s being sexually assaulted and raped by the disgusting men than pay the warden. It’s so sad that people cannot see what this movie is truly about. Beautiful visuals and seemingly impressive budget for a b*movie exploitation flick, and that's coming from someone who is neither a fan of fantasy or CGI. It isn't afraid to be edgy or quirky, as per the genre. A friend once said he was disappointed it wasn't what it could have been, and i'd argue if you share a similar opinion, you too are not versed in the exploitation genre. Not bad but not good either. It’s best enjoyed when you’re drunk on the comedown at 2am on a Tuesday. This movie has minimal substance and a slew of cringy scenes. A few moments, it’s like, "why did this make it to the cut?" Or "what was the point of showing me this scene/cut." But it’s still enjoyably action packed with some really well thought out scenes, despite the cringe. Samurai’s, Zombies, Dragons and Killer Robots? Pretty badass. The acting isn’t the worst thing, with some heavy hitting actors and actresses like Oscar Issac, Scott Glenn, Carla Gugino, and more. But most of the main characters have small rolls with zero development or flare. My favorite thing about this movie though, is the playlist. Army of me by Bjork, White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane and Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics. My ears enjoyed every second. All in all, this movie is a medium mess of action and a small plot, but still good to come back to every once in a while. Anytime I feel alone and unwanted I pop in my favorite movie,and remember im not doing this alone and I can n will be strong. I know its not the same for everyone but for me. I was born to be a slave to bend n break without a sound, have no real option or opinion just say yes sir and hold back my tears... so for me I related to this movie after I fought to save myself. For me this is my top all time favorite movie and I hope it can reach others in the same way it dose for me everyday. See more STARECOSYSTEM ENTERTAINMENT T @RT37456836 Nov 18 The graphics during the dream sequences were definitely a highlight of the movie. The concept is unique and fun. I loved how the dream sequences seemed to take components from video game logic. The protagonists are smart, skillful, and well-acted. Some characters, like the side-characters, seemed to have little to no character development or backstory. The ending was a little confusing, like maybe they were setting up for a sequel that never came to be. All in all, it was enjoyable—especially from a production standpoint. See more Read all reviews
