Feb 19, 2021The imagination to conceive this story alone deserves a standing ovation. Pulling off the entire screenplay, action sequences, and crazy visuals deserves a second ovation. Only Christopher Nolan can create a movie experience like this, as he continues to push the boundaries of storytelling. The only criticism this movie deserves is that it is too ambitious for its good, yet that is somehow what I want to praise it for the most. Some movies follow a formulaic story arc, other moviest zig when you expect them to zag, but I have never seen a movie with a story arc I did not know could even exist. A story arc that I believe only one person has ever thought of, and luckily it was the person that can tell it.Sanjay R Super Reviewer

Jan 12, 2021When it comes to Christopher Nolan's work, I know I won't be disappointed and will happily watch it multiple times. Tenet lived up to expectations as an audacious sci-fi cerebral "heaven". The script - sharp and intelligent; the direction - excellent as always; the cast - so so good; the camerawork and cinematography - beautifully spectacular; and last but not least, the score by Ludwig Goransson - sublime. Simply brilliant. I'd wish I had paid more attention during physics class but then again, it's not too late to read up on inversion and entropy! I had fun. If you're looking for a thinking film where you can bring your brain into the cinema and be suitably entertained in wonder, this is the one. Enjoy.

Jan 11, 2021Nolan is often bordering on self parody here. It doesn't help that several of the "twists" are fairly obvious well before they are revealed while the endless exposition grows more and more tiresome as the movie trudges on.Alec B Super Reviewer

Jan 10, 2021With sharp writing, excellent performances, spectacular cinematography, and an intelligent plot, Tenet may require multiple viewings to fully appreciate, but even on the first viewing it's a thrilling ride - reminiscent of Nolan's earlier masterpieces Inception and Memento (and even of cult classic Donnie Darko). It may not always be a comfortable watch (viewers have rightly noted the overpowering sound and music), but it's the most fearless, thought-out, and ambitious cinematic experience this year (we wouldn't except anything less from Nolan).Matthew S Super Reviewer
