Worth seeking out for only the most hardcore of Margot Robbie completists, Terminal lives down to the medical definition of its title in dreadfully derivative fashion. Read critic reviews

A subpar neo-noir thriller, Terminal has a strong artistic vision but a rather uninspired story. Looking to become a crime lord's exclusive contract killer, an assassin sets out to eliminate her competition. Margot Robbie, Simon Pegg, and Mike Myers lead the cast and give pretty good performances, especially Robbie. And the dialog is incredibly well-written; having a real sharp, clever wit to it. Also, the set designs and cinematography are extraordinarily well-done; creating a rich, captivating noir aesthetic. However the plot is extremely formulaic, and is full of obvious twists that can be seen coming from a mile away. In fact, one of the film's major problems is that it tries one twist too many; which falls flat and doesn't work. While Terminal has some things going for it, it ends up being just another rote crime film that's been done a hundred times before.

It's the neon-noir wannabe Guy Ritchie hitman drama on Nic Winding Refn overload you never thought you needed, and you still don't. Margot Robbie plays her usual overly-pert bad girl schtick with a bad cockney accent "Oi guvna ello ello". Mike Meyers hams it up. Simon Pegg is unusually unlikeable. It's a short movie with seemingly no end yet with twists you can see coming an hour away. It's just a busy barrage of cutesy edginess that is smugly self-satisfied with its mediocrity.

I absolutely, totally, completely, 100% understand why people don't like Terminal, that makes perfect sense to me. It was basically made for me and even I'm pretty mixed on it. But what I don't get is the number of people throwing out half star reviews. That's literally the lowest possible rating, I just don't see how Terminal is a tie for world's worst movie. My expectations were pretty middling, and they were just more or less reached.
