I think it's mostly unethical to write reviews of movies you didn't watch because how can you say they're good or not, so I'm not going to say if this is good or bad, I'm just going to say BARF. A guy known for his proclivity for child sexual offenses is absolutely unwatchable from the minute he walks on screen, BARF, when you thought this would just be another hilariously bad Lifetime movie about a babysitter who was pursued by an old man and in the end the old man is in the wrong. But here, it's a guy who actually abused real minors in real life. BARF. I have to breach my own ethics about reviewing, the main guy is the worst type of person to exist and repulsive to see on the screen, so all I can say is BARF. I guess Keri Russell has something in common with co-star Phylicia Rashad. BARF. See more Michelle L @RT84228659 01/03/2025 I had not previously encountered this film, but I faintly recall its cover from my childhood on TV or VHS at the rental shop (God, to think these are no more). There are several similar titles available on Tubi that I remember seeing on the covers of VHS, although I was too young to watch them at the time. However, I am now able to appreciate them and am thoroughly enjoying the experience. This film embodies many characteristics of early 90s thrillers and made-for-television movies. During that era, it was quite popular to feature narratives involving older men and school-aged girls, as seen in productions such as "Poison Ivy," among others. However, this particular film presented a somewhat different perspective. Although it was watchable, it lacked excitement and was predictable in its plot development. Nonetheless, it served its purpose of providing entertainment and gave me the opportunity to see Tobin Bell in a non-horror role, which is primarily how I know him. Overall, while it may not have been exceptional, it was certainly more enjoyable than many other films I have encountered. See more 11/07/2020 This is a classic 90s Lifetime movie. Lifetime movies today aren't as good as they used to be. This is one of my all time faves. Starring Stephen Collins from seventh heaven, Phylicia Rashaad from the Cosby show and of course the beautiful Keri Russel from Felicity fame and the Americans more recently. Classic thriller type movie it's been done a million times, but there are a few spins in this one that aren't like any other. Michelle is asked to take over looking after the children and is gradually "seduced" by the father (Stephen Collins). When suspicions arise that the mother had been murdered (and had been having an affair), Michelle unknowingly becomes enveloped in a web of lies until she herself is suspected. Gradually she realises all is not as it seems... also stars Phylicia Rashad, Tobin Bell and Linda Kelsey. directed by David Burton Morris.
