See more Claudio C @Claudio666 Jul 8 Gwledd / The Feast (2021) Bizarre Welsh Tale of a Nature Goddess’ Revenge (11,814 –07 Jul 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In the countryside of Wales, the new rich politician Gwyn (Julian Lewis Jones) and his wife Glenda (Nia Roberts) prepare a dinner party for their friends Euros (Rhodri Meilir) and Mair (Lisa Palfrey). They became wealthy drilling petrol and exploring minerals in their lands with Euros. Glenda hires the local Cadi (Annes Elwy) to help her in the cater. When Gwyn hunts two rabbits for the feast, Cadi is affected. Their sons Guto (Steffan Cennydd), who is drug addicted, and Gweirydd (Sion Alun Davies), who quit the medicine school to dedicate to a triathlon, also participate on the dinner. When the guests arrive, Mair learns that they want to explore her lands, but she refuses since there is a folklore that a goddess rests in their lands. Soon the family and Euros learn the goddess’ revenge. “Gwledd”, a.k.a “The Feast” (2021), is a bizarre Welsh tale of a nature goddess’ revenge. The ecological plot is developed is a very slow pace, and very few things happen. The acting is great, but unfortunately the story is boring. The different aspect of this movie is the Welsh language spoken by the cast. Maybe Welsh people know this folklore and appreciate it more. My vote is four. See more Jimmy M @RT34283461 05/18/2024 Or course we can’t expect this movie to be a classic american horror piece with every detail explained and not leave anything to imagination and analytic thinking, but it doesn’t mean that because the movie is theatrical and philosophical its a good watch, I enjoy european horror movies and admire them in many ways but this one wasn’t for me.
