In this lively animated adventure, undersea oddball SpongeBob SquarePants and his starfish friend, Patrick, embark on a quest to clear the name of Mr. Krabs, the owner of the Krusty Krab restaurant, who has been framed for stealing the crown of ocean deity King Neptune. Leaving the familiar confines of Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob and Patrick venture out towards Shell City, where they hope to find Neptune's crown, but numerous obstacles stand (or float) in their way.

Plankton is once again trying to steal the secret formula of Krabby Patty, but now that he has got the Bikini Bottom citizens under mind control, It's up to Spongebob and Patrick to save the day. Silly but definitely pleasing for the fans, Spongebob Squarepants Movie will not disappoint fans.

Big fan of Spongebob in my younger days the film could of been better but it was cool to see him be popular enough to have his own film in cinema.

I'm a huge fan of Spongebob seasons 1-3, which is basically the Golden Age of the show. After this film, the show went downhill and now lacks the smartly written humor it had before. Honestly, almost every episode of the first three seasons are great. I come to this film and vent my anger because it's the turning point of the show... into lame, unfunny, trite. But the film itself is alright; the humor is hit and miss.
