This well-researched investigation is loaded with credible facts and has a workaday, broadcast-newsmagazine feel. Go to Full Review

A smartly dispassionate and skeptical look at 'shaken baby syndrome,' and an accidental portrait about how science fails us when it solidifies into dogma. Go to Full Review

This thought-provoking documentary presents a compelling case that "shaken baby syndrome" doesn't exist. Go to Full Review

It's pretty clear that the film's arguments against Shaken Baby Syndrome are highly questionable. Once you start peeling back the layers, they begin to unravel. Go to Full Review

11/21/2020 This movie was very enlightening. I think it should be required viewing for every E/R physician, child abuse pediatrician everywhere. "When you know better, you do better"! See more 05/07/2020 This is a must-see for anyone in the medical and social work fields, especially child and family services. People love to immediately find blame, instead of the truth. This documentary is why we need people making documentaries! See more 05/22/2016 Informative, compelling and thought provoking film spotlighting the controversy of abusive head trauma in children and the witch hunt the innocent parents and caregivers face in the rush to justice... every parent should see this... it could happen to you! See more 05/03/2016 Gut wrenching, emotionally jolting, personally convicting documentary! After science was placed on the table, and then common sense applied- it made me feel terrible for ever judging a single person accused Shake Baby Syndrome. This documentary is a MUST SEE! It should be required for all Physicians to watch in their education hours each year for their license. It should be presented in Med School, and in nursing school. Investigators and prosecutors should be mandated to watch it was well! Thanking God for the work this team is doing! It makes me wonder if those 3 clowns (Kelly, Reece, and Chadwick) are also behind the definition and push of munchausen syndrome/ medical abuse and the new rise in Medical Kidnapping of kids with rare diseases. See more 04/17/2016 Fascinating stuff. Filed under things you thought you knew something about, but were actually mislead on. I truly hope that this film is able to make a difference in the lives of those wrongfully incarcerated. Very glad someone took the time to make this. Worth a rent. See more 04/17/2016 I found that in this film it covers a wide range of material into the subject matter such and Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) and bringing awareness about it's "junk science". Director Meryl and her cousin Susan Goldsmith, an award winning journalist into matters of child neglect and abuse are both do well to carefully and not overtly accuse that the same three physicians, Drs. David Chadwick, Robert Reece and Carole Jenny who drove and started the devil worship/abuse panic in the 1980's which was eventually debunked, are the same three till this day who have much to gain and profit from SBS. In light of much controversy have changed the name to Abusive Head Trauma to avoid losing face. I have to disagree with Hollywood Reporter and LA Times review of the documentary. They would realize the goal of such works as this is to bring to light and awareness to a subject that seems so little at first glance, but this issue has incarcerated about 1,000 or more known do to this matter. Doctors are required to look for the three symptoms of SBS and report it immediately or they too can be fined and imprisoned. Now with that said these charged Au Pairs, babysitters, daycare owners, and parents who have been imprisoned or charged with SBS abuse cases are all hospital based charges that can range from First Degree Murder, Manslaughter, and Child Abuse to name a few. Most important thing was that again all hospital based, and not one CPS agent, CSI, or Detective on location arrests occur, and alleged are arrested after they bring the child or baby to hospital, and when physician uses the symptoms of what was given to them by the "Three" they then notify authorities, which the officers are obviously going to take the word of the physician. You are treated as an offender or murderer for brining child even your own child to hospital. I applaud the Goldsmiths, and the physicians who did come forward and physicians who have been battling the "Three" and have themselves brought to court charged with perjury and other court crimes in an attempt to silence them. The Film Journal International had great review of this documentary and here is quote; "This thought-provoking documentary presents a compelling case that "shaken baby syndrome" doesn't exist, and that this diagnosis fuels a self-perpetuating myth."
