psiberlife T @purplered1234 5d An excellent movie, in my opinion. Note: It's not for you if you want a fast paced action show. I liked it because: 1.) I enjoyed its quiet tone & peaceful/thoughtful delivery. 2.) I enjoyed seeing an American/USA natural setting in the mountains. 3.) It's about how each person takes an individual path on 'the great journey of life'. 4.) I felt that it's take on 'the great journey of life' story was refreshing and uncomplicated. It's often hard not to be derivative as soo many shows have been made, but it achieved this so well done. 5.) While there is hardly any dialogue, its right for this movie, & makes it all the more engrossing. 6.) Just because a show is cheap to make says nothing about how good it is. The Amazon Prime show; The Lord of the Rings : The Rings of Power cost $1 billion dollars and was terrible. 7.) Its a movie to take your time over and enjoy, but... I won't spoil the story, except to say that it was told in such a way that makes you think it could happen to you! Overlooking the no dialogue however, I found the scenes to be very much laboured and quite literally spelled out. Weirdly, the constant use of onomatopoeia in the subtitles was sadly entertaining and held my interest. Shoestring budget absolutely. For me, the very little special effects just seemed low level AI generated in five minutes but the golden syrup mixed with red food colouring was great. It's limited budget is obvious as it was saved for very few scenes but overall I believe the film pays off as it plays more to the senses. It's strong points don't rely on it's sci-fi elements but on it's grounded approach. With a bigger budget it probably could have aligned all those elements together in a successful way as I believe it's director has potential. That doesn't make it a bad movie but, when the camera stays on a scene for way longer than it should and your thinking, come on, pan around, show me something different I lose interest. And this was on most of the movie. I was fast forwarding slowly by the time I got to mid-way and I don't believe I missed anything.
