I was stunned by how much I loved this film. SO much to praise when it comes to cinematography, sound design, casting, set design, etc. It all took me through Mia’s struggle and confusion. I also want to acknowledge Simone Ashley specifically because if this role didn’t show how versatile she is as an actress than I don’t know what will because she had me clutching my chest for the majority of the film. I hope more people will finally get to see her star power! As well as Suraj Sharma, who absolutely smashed it alongside Simone. My only wish for this film is that it had a bigger rollout because I think it is made for the big screen.

The predictability of what was coming next was frustrating. I’m sure they were trying to come up with something original, but it’s a psychological thriller/ domestic violence sort of- been done before type of movie. I was disappointed.

A gripping, beautifully crafted psychological thriller. This Tempting Madness is intense, emotional, and incredibly well made from top to bottom. The story pulls you in and keeps tightening its grip, especially knowing it's based on true events. The performances are strong across the board, the direction is confident, and the sound design adds so much to the tension. And visually, the film is stunning. The cinematography is gorgeous without ever feeling showy - every frame feels intentional and adds to the mood, the unease, and the emotional weight of the story. Really loved this one.
