Though timely in subject, this romantic comedy, with William Baldwin at the center of a triangle, is shallow and contrived, but there's still some pleasure to be had.
Shallow and virtually compromised out of existence.
Innovative and interesting renderings of relationships are at a premium; it's obviously much easier to stick a few characters into stock situations and let the plot grind to a stopping point.
A two-hour anticlimax, Three of Hearts manages to offend just about everyone -- women, men, lesbians, heterosexuals, prostitutes and, most of all, moviegoers.
Even with such an offbeat trio, Three of Hearts proves curiously banal, neither sexy nor witty.
An engaging romantic comedy.
After a funny opening scene, the film never gets on track.
Urgh, this was appalling. One of those "look at me, I'm so trendy" early 90s films that flirted with bisexuality and/or a girl-guy-girl love triangle; the desperation here is palpable and the writing, acting and direction are all sub-sub-par. I sat though this when - for some reason I hope never to explain - I had a fixation for William Baldwin films. I don't want to talk about this anymore.
