This is a show about a teenager investigating crimes so of course we all suspend disbelief to watch it, but they went too far. It manages to feel both familiar for longtime fans and accessible for new viewers. See more Jean M @RT73134030 Apr 28 The original Veronica Mars was a great series that got cut short in the 3rd season because it was put in an impossible time slot. The order is Veronica Mars Seasons 1-3, this movie, then Season 4. Nine years has passed from end of the third season, which is a little odd, but works because it is Neptune High's 10 Year Reunion. It is hard for someone who watched the series to judge this movie as a stand alone. The cult following of Veronica Mars helped finance the making of this movie. It's pretty good considering how it came about, and they got the orignal cast for all roles. Veronica Mars is like Nancy Drew meets The OC with some 90210. Veronica lives with her dad, a PI, who gives her a lot of trust and long leash. In this movie Dick even says "Welcome to the PC B*tch" The writing is snappy, sarcasm is king, and hr BFs are real ones. Veronica is one cool girl.
