Audience Reviews for Watch It

½

Mediocre comedy, good performances from the females in the cast. The guys do alright, but they are such immature jerks it hurts the film. When you lose interest in some of the characters, you tend to lose interest in the film as well.

I got this movie because I love John C. McGinley. That, and I had read some reviews on Amazon praising it as a really funny and sweet romantic comedy. Well, I was pleased to see Johnny C. looking so young and handsome...but that was just about the only thing I enjoyed. I have never actually watched The O.C., but like any other person who owns a television, I have seen what seems like hours of promos for it. I always thought Peter Gallagher was a pretty good-looking guy. NOT in this movie--he was just scary-looking, and he did a pretty shitty acting job too. One of my pet peeves in romantic comedies is couples who fall in love WAY too quickly...like, they don't know each other at all, and then they get married and live happily ever after. My favorite romcoms are always the ones where the couple has a history--like Annie Hall, and (okay, totally different ballpark) You've Got Mail. The plot device of the Watch It game was cute and sometimes pretty funny. But all in all, it's far from a favorite.
