08/10/2009 When you've seen the film you actually feel that you have learned everything about Gilbert and George there is to know. They come across as quite nice and approachable, but somehow you can't help wondering if their art is really that deep - or if it is only a very consistent staging and self-dramatisation (one of the most common reproaches they are faced with, but which isn't tackled by the film-maker). Quite entertaining for those interested in art and/or Britain and "Britishness", but really nothing more. See more 11/02/2008 Quite interestig art documentary on the oddiest british couple. Here, we enter their own world and private life and we discover two middle-aged gentlemen with a great sense of humour, a peculiar taste in furniture and books, and a pair of hard working artists interested in creating (as they use to say) "art for all". I have to say I'm not really fanatic about their work, but I found this film quite enjoyable. See more Read all reviews
