Pondering what all this means in terms of contemporary concepts of masculinity is much more interesting than the film itself, which feels very much like something lifted wholesale from video game culture. Go to Full Review

Derivative and forgettable, Worldbreaker is ultimately too repetitive with its weak plot about a father and his teenage daughter trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world populated by zombie-like creatures. The visual effects are mediocre. Go to Full Review

Some decent acting and cinematography give the film a veneer of respectability, but at heart this is sheer B-movie bobbins. Go to Full Review

On the surface, Worldbreaker is a mediocre creature feature, but just beneath that surface is a vibrant metaphor, waiting for adults to pick it up and point it out. Go to Full Review

Mr Hollywood Feb 9 Ridiculous. Most of the movie we are on an island with the two characters. Once it starts to be exciting it’s over. Ridiculous See more Rob Feb 4 Good sci fi fantasy film. Irish film. Cool monsters but they aren’t shown that much. More drama than action. See more Alex T @BlasphemiousMalekiaThe7th 2d I think that films like this are the reason why I am losing faith in the industry. It doesnt make a difference how good an idea is, how great the concepts are or the script or the acting, if there is no substance it just isnt worth watching or the effort or expense in the first place. A real shame because the potential of films like this and others that are similar just lack so much at the same time. I have watched 15 minute youtube stories that were better than this because they had more content. More structure. Just More. A true shame and waste of 90 minutes. See more Liz G @quietdog4 2d This film jumps on the bandwagon of the girl/dad coming of age relationship vs a monster/virus-led apocalypse caused by humans mistreating the world. In this world, women fight because they are less likely to get infected by the spider-like Breakers than men, as men are both inherently evil and have simple brains!! Willa, 15, is taken off to an island by her Dad whilst Mom stays to fight. Cue pretty island shots, Dad telling hero stories that have dubious relevance and him training Willa on an assault course that looks like it was built for eight-year-olds before handing over his sword and proclaiming her β€˜ready’. As a character, Willa has got to be the least β€˜ready’ person ever. She is utterly naive, totally lacking emotional resilience and it’s hard to feel empathy for her. Plenty of plot holes too (e.g Breakers can swim but the island is safe?). We don’t really get to see the Breakers in action either which might have redeemed the film a bit. Very disappointing all round. See more gerald H @RottenGary 4d Yet another movie where chubby kids clumsily jump over tree trunks and somehow save the world. All in all: it’s all bad. See more ARNEZ C. @Arny6tearz Feb 25 More like world crapper it doesn't even stay on subject first it's about war then it's about training the daughter then it's about friendship and milla isn't even in the movie maybe a few scenes I have no clue what I watched they try to sequel bait πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I don't think so pal!
