What to Know

Critics Consensus

56 Days almost overstays its welcome with this snoozy mystery, but its central conceit is saved by two utterly beguiling performances.

It’s a tricky gambit and it mostly fails: by revealing so much of the plot and quickly revealing duplicitous twists, 56 Days lays bare the infrastructure that should be hidden away. Go to Full Review
Angie Han The Hollywood Reporter Feb 19
56 Days suggests halfheartedly that the very wrongness of this courtship is what makes it so hot for them, and for us. But its insistence on playing coy about exactly how wrong it is or why... is to its own detriment. Go to Full Review

56 Days can be a little silly, and it’s definitely heavy on the dramatics, but you can’t peel your eyes away as the mystery deepens. Go to Full Review
Neely Swanson Beverly Hills Courier Apr 21
The idea behind this series was a good one, but the execution is lacking and you end up not caring very much, even about the dead body. Go to Full Review

56 Days is an enjoyable watch that doesn't go overboard with the eroticism, for once. Go to Full Review

56 Days isn’t good, but it is engaging, with performances that pique curiosity and an electric chemistry between the characters that makes you keep pressing play on the next episode. Go to Full Review

Baudilio Andrs V @RT95443300 3d It kept me entertained. Cameron does a great job portraying a cute but psychopathic girl. See more Jade W @giveemsomethingto_jade 4d Rise up dark romance girlies, it’s getting hot in here. See more Slick R @SlickReviewer Jun 25 It wasn't that bad. Gen X kids review hating literally have zero attention span. Yes, it could have been one or two episodes shorter, but at least it kept you guessing who was in the tub. The way it ended with the investigators was pretty far fetched but I guess the writers had to make up something. See more Jennifer M @RT20119891 Jun 19 Starts off good but then DRAGS ON. I fast forwarded through Episode 7 because it was so boring by that point and I just wanted it to end. Maybe if they cut back on some of the sex scenes and the BS going back and forth between the detectives they could have summed up the show better. And what was the point of Jane Miller??? I honestly ended up just googling the end of the series because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was wasting so much of my life continuing to watch it. It really felt flat at the end See more Alana J. @alanaa May 27 I like how it was put and shown it got really interesting and fun to watch also watching this with my mom for the first time See more Melly B @RT02800281 Apr 22 I started this but I was just so distracted by this lead girl who looks like a blow up doll. It’s giving an AI actress and not a real person. So turned it off. See more Read all reviews
